2015 Assessment Information

PARCC – (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers) replaces the Ohio Achievement Assessments starting this spring (except in 3rd grade reading). There are two components to the PARCC test, a Performance-Based Assessment (PBA) and an End of Year Assessment (EOY) for English Language Arts and for Mathematics. Students in certain grades will also take Ohio’s new science and social studies tests, which also have a performance based and end of year component. Students in grades 3 – 6 will take their tests on paper (like they have always done) and students in grades 7 – 12 will take the new tests using a computer (except for the OGT, which will be taken on paper).
