Highland Elementary School kicked off its GO BABY GO fundraising campaign. This campaign is done through the Butler County Developmental Disabilities Services where they take children’s motorized cars and rework them to help toddlers and small children to walk or strengthen their bodies.
The school will be collecting change for two weeks to pay for at least one car (each car costs $250-$300 depending on what the child’s needs are). The cars are reused again once the child is finished with it. This is part of Highland’s Character Education Program, showing compassion and acceptance for others.
