Hamilton High students William George and Thomas Dingeldine were awarded the Dr. Edward Kezur Scholarship, a joint venture administered by the Hamilton-Fairfield Symphony Orchestra and the Hamilton Community Foundation. The scholarship, which is available to members of the Great Miami Youth Symphony Orchestra, is to be used to further the recipients’ musical goals.
William George will attend Northwestern University in the fall majoring in bassoon performance. This award will help him purchase a bassoon of his own. Thomas Dingeldine, a junior at HHS, plans to use this award for private lessons and will study music in college.
There were three awards given in all, with the third going to Emily Prochaska, of Talawanda High School, who will be studying music in college next year.
