HHS CTE and Fine Arts Make a Great Team

HHS CTE (Career Tech Education) classes and HHS Fine Arts Department have had a great collaboration this school year. Two examples are shown below.

The first is the set of our recent production of Seussical.  The set was designed by senior student, Ben Houser.  His design was made reality by  the HHS Carpentry Class under the direction of Mr. Tim Carpenter and Mr. Don Tegge. The set, which was quite elaborate earned the Carpentry Class 1st place in their division at the Sinclair Tech Prep Showcase in April. The CTE  Engineering Department was instrumental in the making of the large books which were actually doors.

The Carpentry Class also constructed 10 cello racks for our district-wide use at all schools. These racks will help prevent damage to our cellos by keeping them off the floor and providing proper neck support.

We are very grateful for the willingness of the CTE department to help in these two major projects.
