Brookwood Students Create Lorax Mustaches

In Kindergarten this week during Dr. Seuss birthday, Ms. Rentschler’s class at Brookwood Elementary School’s, read and listened to many books by Dr. Seuss. They learned that authors’ roles are to write the stories for a purpose and most of Dr. Seuss’ purpose was for entertainment.  They also learned that rhyming words are words are words that have the same ending sounds.  Dr. Seuss sure did create a lot of books with nonsense rhyming words.

They read Dr. Seuss’, The Lorax, and created a picture of the Lorax, by using their fine motor skills to draw, cut, trace and paste. They loved getting to trace their hands to create Lorax’s mustache.
