Bridgeport Raises Money for Visually Impaired Students

Bridgeport third grade students raised funds to help purchase sports equipment specifically designed to help visually impaired children. The third grade students went room to room and collected over $300 to put towards Ms. McQueen’s Donor’s Choose project which was MATCHED 50% by Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Throughout this amazing service project, fellow third grade student Damian gave multiple service announcements about the visual equipment he uses to help him be successful throughout his school day. The third grade students are very proud to announce that due to the generosity of the Bridgeport families and friends, the sports equipment for our visually impaired children will be purchased. As a culminating activity, the students were awarded with an assembly starring their third grade teachers and the game–“Pie Face”. Character Education at its best. ‪#‎HamiltonProud‬
