School District’s Credit Rating is Upgraded

On August 3, 2016 FitchRatings released the results of credit reviews for 12 Ohio School Districts. Four Ohio School Districts had their credit ratings downgraded, seven Ohio School Districts had their credit ratings affirmed, meaning they were unchanged.

The Hamilton City School District was the only district in the group of twelve that received an upgrade in their credit rating. The district’s credit rating was upgraded from AA- to AA and to the best of our knowledge that is the highest credit rating that the district has ever received.
