GRADUATE SPOTLIGHT – DR. SHARON BROWN
Sharon Brown, PhD, CRC, graduated from Garfield Senior High School in 1977 and received her BA in Rehabilitation Services from Wilberforce University in 1984. She received her Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Kent State University in 1985 and her PhD in Rehabilitation Eduction and Cultural Diversity and Disability Adjustment from Ohio State University in 1997.
She has taught at the collegiate level for almost 30 years, and is currently the Coordinator/Associate Professor of the Department of Rehabilitation Counseling and Disability Services at Alabama University A & M University. She is also CEO and President of Brown & Associates. She has secured grants totaling over $2 million for various initiatives. Brown has presented at many conferences and workshops and written many articles for publications.
