Mrs. Brosius and her kindergarten stars at Brookwood Elementary School won’t soon forget the fun they had comparing/contrasting two versions of gingerbread books to each other and to other versions that they read earlier in the year allowed them to practice using higher level reading strategies. They did a science experiment to see why the gingerbread man never wanted to get wet.
This provided the students with a chance to predict, observe, record, and analyze results. Stars then took on the project of building their own gingerbread houses. First they came up with a plan how to build their houses. Next they built their houses. The last thing they did was the best part – they got to eat their houses!
