GRADUATE SPOTLIGHT:  James Hibbard graduated from Hamilton High School in 2010.  He majored in Linguistics at the Ohio State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 2014, graduating with Honors. After graduation, James moved to Ithaca, New York to pursue a Master of Public Administration degree at Cornell University, with a focus in Economic & Financial Policy.

While at Cornell, James worked for the Center of International Studies as a Data Specialist. In this role, he optimized big data sets for the center’s IT department, in addition to managing funding opportunities for research related to international study. Also, he was a Graduate Assistant in Infrastructure Finance, where he helped students understand how public infrastructure projects are developed through the lens of sophisticated financial products and concepts, and how to build corresponding financial models.

James graduated from Cornell in 2016 and moved to New York City to work for Deloitte, one of the largest professional services firms in the country. At Deloitte, James serves as a Tax Consultant in the financial credits and incentives practice. He works across the country on a range of economic development issues.
