This past Saturday, March 25, 2017, Garfield Middle School students Angelina Aguilar and Karla Guerrero represented Hamilton City Schools at the Ohio Music Education Association’s District 13 Jr. High Solo/Ensemble contest at Clinton-Massie High School. Angelina performed a String Bass solo and Karla performed a Violin solo. Both girls received the highest rating, a superior. They are both in the Garfield Orchestra, which is taught by Mrs. Pamela Carroll. Congratulations to these fine musicians!
The Hamilton High Winter Guard participated in the Edgewood High School Showcase on Friday, March 24.
The Hamilton High Indoor Marching Percussion Ensemble competed at the Winter Guard International (WGI) Mid-East Power Regional event at Northern Kentucky University on Saturday, competing against groups from Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, and Tennessee.
Monday, March 27 & Wednesday, March 29, 6:30 pm – Ridgeway Elementary School presents “The Wizard of Oz” in the Garfield Middle School Auditorium.
Tuesday, March 28, 8:00 am – The Hamilton High Jazz Band will provide musical entertainment for the Hamilton High Spring Community Breakfast in the Hamilton High Media Center.
Friday, March 31, approximately 7:00 pm. The Winter Guard & Indoor Marching Percussion Ensemble will present a send-off show in the Hamilton High School Gym. This will be the final chance to see the 2016-17 Hamilton High Indoor Marching Percussion Ensemble and Hamilton High Winter Guard perform locally. The Hamilton Junior Guard will also be performing. Admission is free.
Saturday, April 1, 2:07 pm – Hamilton High School Winter Guard performs in the Mid-East Performance Association (MEPA) Color Guard Championships at the Nutter Center, Wright State University.
Sunday, April 2, 12:20 pm – Hamilton High School Indoor Marching Percussion Ensemble performs in the MEPA Percussion Championships at the Nutter Center, Wright State University.
