Rhapsody in Blue Finishes Competition Season
Hamilton High Show Choir, Rhapsody in Blue ended their competition season on Saturday, April 8 at the Wapakoneta Music & More competition. The group finished in 5th place overall. Rhapsody has participated in 6 competitions since February and has made it to the Finals in all but 2.
The group’s competition show, titled “It’s Alive” tells the story of Frankenstein’s monster and his bride with a twist. The show includes the music made popular by the movies ” Young Frankenstein”, “Beauty and the Beast”, and “Pocahontas”; as well as groups including Twenty One Pilots, Fall Out Boy, and Cold Play. The show’s engaging and emotional quality, combined with the innovative costumes and staging quickly made Rhapsody’s show a crowd favorite.
Rhapsody will expand on the this year’s competition show theme in their annual show case performance on April 21st and 22nd. They will perform their competition show as well as many other songs and sets in the showcase titled “Monster Mash, a Musical Revue”. Click here to order tickets
HHS Drum Line Inspires Racers
On April 8, members of the Hamilton High Drum Line kicked off “Meters for Mozart” 5K Run and Walk to support the Hamilton Fairfield Symphony Orchestra and Chorale, with a set of lively drum cadences.
