The past weekend marked the end of the year for a few of our Fine Arts groups. On Thursday, the Hamilton High Drum Line participated in their final competition of the year at The Winter Guard International World Championships held at University of Dayton and Wright State University. This was the largest competition they have ever taken part in, with groups from all across the United States and even as far away as Bangkok, Thailand competing. While the Hamilton High squad did not advance to the finals, the opportunity to see marching percussion groups from near and far was quite the experience for the students.
On Friday, April 21, the Hamilton High Art Department held their 2nd Annual Art Exhibit at Pyramid Hill. The students of art teachers Ms. Meghan Bell, Ms. Melissa Dornan, Mr. Paul Loehle, and Ms. Jessica Royer displayed samples of the year’s work in the Museum alongside of the many impressive pieces that are housed there.

Friday and Saturday, April 21 and 22, also brought the final performance of the Hamilton High’s 2016-2017 Rhapsody in Blue Show Choir. The group kept the audience entertained with their performance of spooky songs to go along with the theme of their competition show, “It’s Alive”, as well as a revue of High School Musical 1 & 2. The seniors were also recognized at this annual event. Rhapsody in Blue is under the direction of Mrs. Christina Fox.
Congratulations to the following Rhapsody seniors: Wyatt Baker, ZyAyre Bowens, Miranda Brock, Abby Brown, Ben Cooke, Matt Courtney, Danny Ivers, Lilly Kilguss, Alvin Mantey, Kelvin Mantey, Alex Moreno, Ingrid Perez, David Rubush, Abby Thompson, and Katie Vieira.
