Fine Arts Update May 8, 2017

As we wrap up another school year, our Fine Arts groups continue to present their final concerts. On Tuesday, May 2, Freshman Voices and Hamilton High Concert Chorale presented a concert filled with songs from several musicals. Seniors Alison Hasse, Kris Quinn, Mikayla Miller, and Johnna Morris were recognized at the concert.

On Wednesday, May 3, the 3 orchestras of Hamilton Freshman and Hamilton High School gave their final concert of the year.  Senior Orchestra members Nicole Black, Heather Boudinet, Hannah Breedlove, Dylan Brumback, Megan Burtis, Ben Cooke, Kylie Fields, Austin Fisher, Mason Johnson, Dustin Jones, Koda Kenney, Danielle Kettman, Ashley Lakes, Anna McSwain, Madelynn Pitcher, Andrew Sellars, Jill Thomas, Casey Thrasher, Alexander Treadway, Jenna Vaughan, and Chris Witte were recognized at the concert.

On Thursday, May 4, the combined Garfield and Wilson 7th Grade Band, combined Garfield and Wilson 8th Grade Band, Hamilton Freshman Concert Band, and Hamilton High Symphonic Band all presented their final concert of the year on the Hamilton High stage. Band seniors Zamariah Ardis, Rachel Ballinger, Sydney Butler, Haley Davis, Zane Farris, Shannon Goforth, Michaela Haddix, Kyle Holmes, Matthew McCracken, Tony Natiello, Daniel Stapleton, Casey Thrasher, Tori Waltz and Jasmin Zellner were recognized at the band banquet the following night.

The Hamilton High Jazz Band performed on the RiversEdge stage as part of the Marcum Park Dedication Ceremony on Saturday, May 5.

Congratulations to all of our Hamilton Middle School Instrumentalists who participated in the Music in the Parks event on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Loveland High School.  Our 7th grade Band earned 1st place and an Excellent rating, our 8th grade Band earned 1st place and an Excellent rating, our 7th grade Orchestra earned 2nd place and a Superior rating, and our 8th grade Orchestra earned 2nd place and an Excellent rating.

Hamilton Choirs also did well, Garfield 8th grade choir, Wilson 8th grade choir, and Hamilton Freshman School’s Freshman Voices all received Excellent ratings.  In addition, Freshman Voices was awarded 1st place in their category.
