HHS Basketball Dance Team Tryouts

HHS Dance Team will be holding tryouts for the Basketball Dance Team for students in grades 9-12.
Clinics will be on Tuesday, October 10 from 3:30 to 5:30 in the Hamilton Freshman School gym.
Tryouts will be held on Thursday, October 12 beginning at 3:30 in the Hamilton Freshman School gym.
 Tryout packets will be in the Hamilton High and Hamilton Freshman School offices beginning Wednesday, October 4.

Rhapsody in Blue’s 5K Color Run Draws Enthusiastic Crowd

Those who turned out for Rhapsody in Blue’s 5K Color Run on Saturday enjoyed beautiful weather as they walked and ran along the Great Miami River walking path. They were also treated to a mini concert by River City Band. Congratulations to  Rhapsody member, Riley Stephens, who had the fastest time. Thank you to all who supported Rhapsody in Blue by participating or donating.

The Hamilton High Marching Band participated in 2 OMEA contests on Saturday, earning a rating of “Excellent” at each.  The contests took place at Licking Valley and Watkins Memorial High Schools.

UPCOMING FINE ARTS EVENTS NOT TO BE MISSED

OCTOBER 2, 7 PM: Secondary Choral Festival at HHS Athletic Center

Our secondary choirs will come together to perform on Monday, October 2. The concert will feature the 8th grade choirs from Garfield and Wilson Middle Schools, Freshman Voices of Hamilton Freshman School, Concert Chorale and Vocal Elegance of Hamilton High School, along with Cutting Edge and Rhapsody in Blue show choirs.

 

OCTOBER 3,  7 PM: Tonic Sol-fa in Concert at HHS

Tickets are still available.  Our own show choirs, Cutting Edge and Rhapsody in Blue will open the show with selections from their competition shows.
Ticket Prices:
  • General Public: $15 with NO service fee for online ticket purchase
    • Special price for HCSD Staff and Students:  $12  with NO service fee for online ticket purchase
  • Select-a-seat is available for pre-sale purchases via computer only.
    • hand held devices will be assigned “best available” seats.
  • At the door ticket sales will be Festival Seating, behind the pre-sale area

 

OCTOBER 4, 7 PM: Hamilton Freshman/Hamilton High Orchestra Concert at HHS

On Wednesday, October 4 the orchestras of Hamilton Freshman and Hamilton High Schools will present their first concert of the school year in the Hamilton High School Rotary Auditorium. The concert begins at 7:00 pm.

OCTOBER 10, 7 pm: Middle School Orchestras Concerts

On Tuesday, October 10, the orchestras of Garfield and Wilson Middle Schools will present separate concerts at 7:00 pm. The Garfield 7th Grade and 8th Grade Orchestras will perform on the Garfield stage, while the Wilson 7th Grade and 8th Grade Orchestras will perform on the Hamilton High stage.
