Gifted Identification Information
The Hamilton City School District Gifted Program holds fall and spring gifted identification screenings for all referred students. The next screening period will occur in October 2015. Teachers and parents are encouraged to refer students using the Gifted Identification Form. If you would like to refer your child for gifted identification testing, please select the link below, fill out both pages of the form and return it to the Gifted Coordinator by mail, email, or through your child’s teacher.

After School Gifted Enrichment
The after school gifted enrichment program is designed to provide curriculum enrichment for gifted students in grades 5 and 6. The goal of the enrichment program is to provide academic extensions and opportunities to gifted children through hands-on learning, guided inquiry, and critical and creative thinking. This program provides a hands-on, technology based, inquiry –centered approach to topics such as geography, mapping skills, restaurant design, Rube Goldburg machine development, the science of roller coasters, invention development, and much, much more! The enrichment program is conducted one day a week after school beginning September 21, 2015 and running through May 16, 2016. To qualify for this program the student must be identified as gifted in one or more of the following areas in 5th or 6th grade: Superior Cognitive, Math, Reading, Science, Social Studies, Creative Thinking, and the Arts. Questions regarding the program should be directed to the gifted coordinator.
