Because we value student safety and good communication, we wanted to inform you that some of our students recently reported to the high school administration that one student made threats of violence against the high school. The administration, working collaboratively with the Hamilton Police Department, investigated this matter. We can now report to you that the student is currently in custody and awaiting court proceedings which will begin next week. Additionally, the district has also taken appropriate disciplinary action.

I addressed students at the end of the day and met with our staff at the conclusion of school. We will always continue to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

We commend our students for their willingness to come forward and to keep our Hamilton family safe.

If you have any questions/concerns about this incident, or any other matter, please contact us.
