HHS Homecoming Attendance Requirements

Objective: To increase attendance, improve behavior and grades.

Attendance Requirements: Beginning on August 12, 2019 HHS Main Campus, Freshman Campus, & Miami School students must meet the following good standing requirements:

  • Attendance – Students may not exceed more than 17 unexcused/habitual hours.  This includes unexcused tardies and unexcused early dismissals.
  • Behavior – Students may not be suspended out of school, assigned to alternative school or Home Instruction.  Students may not have more than 6 tardies to class or been assigned to BIC more than two times.
  • Emergency Medical Form on file.

Prom Policy

In an effort to improve attendance, behavior and academic achievement, the Hamilton City School Board approved the following prom privilege requirements.

Beginning January 3rd, any HHS senior planning on attending prom must meet the following criteria:

Attendance – Students may not exceed more than 4 unexcused absences; this includes the district policy of 3 unexcused tardies = 1 unexcused absence.

Behavior – Students may not be suspended out of school or assigned an alternative placement (HASP, Home Instruction).

Credits – Students must be on track to graduate with a minimum of 18.5 credits. Those who are credit deficient must be in the process of recovering credits through credit recovery – enrolled in enough classes to graduate on time.
